Philadelphia Theatre Workshop needs 20 (yes, 20!) non-equity actors to be part of our PlayShop Festival. During this unique and intensive program, playwrights, directors, designers, dramaturges, and actors work collaboratively to develop these plays utilizing feedback from the artists in rehearsals and performances before live audiences.
The playwrights will be writing and re-writing the scripts during the entire five-week process. Actors need to be flexible, creative, and interested in new play development. We need a very wide variety of ages, ethnicities and types!

Ex-Disney director is currently casting character voices for a children's animated series - season 2.
First recording session will be in mid November and we will record about once a week in Los Angeles through February (English language). We will be doing voice tracks for 26 episodes. The Production company is in Europe and has already produced one season.

We have just recently launched our very first group drama workshop designed specifically for children on the autism spectrum, and would like to expand our staff for this exciting and innovative program. Our drama program is influenced by many different types of therapies and programs for children with autism. Using core principles of the Son-Rise approach, as well as modified and un-modified acting lessons and activities for children & teens, we provide a program that supports and loves each individual child for who they are. Our goals are to encourage socialization in a fun and engaging way, inspire imagination and flexible thinking as well as creative and dramatic play.

Holds non-Equity general auditions during the calendar year for each individual production. Auditions for specific productions are held in the following Delaware cities: Newark, Wilmington, and Dover. The First State Children's Theater is committed to hiring classically trained, professional adult actors for all main-stage productions. Depending on the show, the theater will use children and young people for any roles that require a child or young adult.
Child actors (those under the age of 18) do not work under a professional contract, and do not receive a paycheck. It is customary, however, for our interns and child actors to receive a small stipend at the completion of the show, as our way of thanking them for their participation.
