Once Upon A Nation
I once again performed as a Storyteller for Once Upon A Nation in the summer of 2008. This continued weekends in September and October at Valley Forge National Historical Park.
I told 7 minute stories at a bench at George Washington's Headquarters. The stories were free to the public. Visitors only had to approach the bench and ask for a story.
I told stories about
* A Master Spy at Valley Forge
* Martha Washington's Birthday Bash for George Washington
* The "battle" of Valley Forge
* America's Favorite Game Show, "Which George Was It?"
I have a special storytelling program December 29.
---------------
Philip Jacobson's
History With Once Upon a Nation
I became a storyteller for Once Upon a Nation in 2005, when Historic Philadelphia, Inc. first began its storyteller program.
My first location was at City Tavern at Second and Walnut Streets in the historic district of Philadelphia. I told stories about 18th century Philadelphia food, drink and travel, throughout the summer of 2005.
Next summer, 2006, I moved to Franklin Court and told stories about Ben Franklin. My bench partner and I told stories to more visitors that summer than at almost any other bench. When visitors from other countries visited my bench, my stories were translated into foreign languages such as Spanish, German and Greek. I would tell stories in phrases, while an english speaking visitor would translate to his non-english speaking family members.
When Once Upon a Nation first added Valley Forge locations at Valley Forge National Historical Park, I became a storyteller there. I was one of only two people who was an original storyteller in Philadelphia and also an original storyteller to open the Valley Forge locations. My locations were at the Memorial Arch and at George Washington's Headquarters. I told stories to more visitors than any other storyteller that summer.
In 2008, I told stories exclusively at George Washington's Headquarters at Valley Forge.
I am one of only three people still remaining as a storyteller for Once Upon a Nation, from the original group of storytellers chosen that first year, in 2005.

Philip Jacobson's
Bistro Romano History
Philip joined Bistro Romano in 2004 as the father of the bride in "Marriage Can Be Murder".
In 2004-5, Philip portrayed Uncle Senior, a less than terrifying mobster in "The Altos: Lower Than the Sopranos".
In 2006-7. Philip was the maniacal Hal Lightbelt in "Double Jeopardy", and also sometimes played Rex Wright, the obnoxious Master of Ceremonies.
In 2007-8, Philip was Borgo the crafty Romanian Spy. He also sometimes portrayed the evil Mr. James Lee and the nerdy Detective Ellery Chan, in a split role.
In 2008, I am portraying Colonel Mustard in "Clue, A Murdered Mystery." Colonel Mustard is a man of many personalities (and costume changes). See if you can catch them all.

Willie Sutton / Tunnel Escape Weekend
Eastern State Penitentiary, 2124 Fairmount Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19130
I performed Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3, 11:30 am -4:30 pm
This year's event was designed around families with interactive and take-home activities surrounding the subject of prison escapes.
Two actors - one portraying tunnel mastermind Clarence Klinedinst and one (Philip Jacobson) portraying bank robber "Slick Willie" Sutton - gave their conflicting accounts of who designed the tunnel, how it was built, and why the escapees got caught. Children and adults got to vote on who they thought wass telling the truth!

Philip Jacobson's History
with Eastern State Penitentiary
I began performing as Willie Sutton at Eastern State Penitentiary in 2006. Each year since then, I have been invited back on Tunnel Escape Weekend to re-enact the escape and to convince visitors that he was the mastermind behind the escape.
Beginning in 2008, the escape re-enactment portion of the program did not take place. The program was moved to August because of other programs that occurred in April, its regularly scheduled time slot.

Public Eye Storytelling Event
I was a storyteller for Public Eye: Artists for Animals in their Springtime events. They hope to have more programs soon.
-----------------------
Philip Jacobson's History with
Public Eye: Artists for Animals
I was a runway model at the "Fur-Free Fashion Show".
I appeared as Terrible Ted the Bear in "The Human Circus".
I interacted with almost every act, during the show. My character became the hero that protected all life on earth from space creatures. Terrible Ted was an actual animal that was kept in chains and used by his owners at events where people wrestled with him.
I played Captain Bill in "Mouth of the River" and also was the narrator for a short film showing the beauty of nature in the ocean. This production showed how we can help to protect sea creatures.
In the Veggie Cabaret, a program dedicated to vegetarians and vegans, I portrayed a Hippie vegetarian in "Harry's Diner", The Grillmaster in a skit about the purchase of a huge grill for cooking meat, and a Hunter in "The Happy Carrot". I was also the emcee for the evening.
Most recently, I was a storyteller at the "Unhuggables" storytelling and music program. This event provided an appreciation for animals that most people do not think of as cute. I told a story called "Skyler Skunk Needs Your Help", about Skyler Skunk, who had some near tragedies with people and their pets.

ONGOING OR PERIODIC
Belial, a haunting movie about a serial killer, has been released. I play the Assistant warden. To purchase a copy from the producers of the film for $10, paste http://www.potentpictures.com/contact.html into your address field and then click "enter".
Dating on Demand (Occasionally available for viewing on Comcast on Demand) - I was filmed as an Improv instructor in the Television program "Dating on Demand: On a Date". The show originally aired 12/16/05. The show sometimes is shown as a repeat, Friday night at 8:30 PM on CN8. When the show is re-run, it can be seen by those who have access to Comcast's Video on Demand service during the following week.
I was in a show for PBS in Pennsylvania called "Explore PA", which occasionally re-airs. My episode was filmed in Lycoming County, and followed the underground Railroad. My fellow traveler, Jennifer Garden and I also toured Reptiland, Woolrich and the Buggy Museum.
I was filmed in a thirty second commercial, called "Test Drive". It was filmed to be shown on Comcast Sports Network, and probably on CN8, OLN, and UPN (Channel 57) in the Philadelphia area. It was also expected to be shown during sporting events at the Wachovia Center.
I have been appearing in a 30 second commercial for Gloucester County Federal Savings, on cable stations Style, E!, CNN and HGTV in southern New Jersey.

DDG - Sketch Comedy
I am performing with a group called DDG.
They are building a library of sketch comedy skits on film.
In the most recent film in which I participated, I was a teacher who was running a class of one during a snow storm. Can't wait to see it.
